21 września w Londynie rozpoczyna się Festiwal Designu, na którym polskie projektowanie prezentowane jest regularnie od 2008 roku. Podczas tegorocznej edycji London Design Festival polskie wozrnictwo można będzie spotkać w dwóch miejscach. Jednym z nich jest 'ĄĘ! Pop - Up by PolishDesigners.pl' - Pop - Up sklep umiejscowiony w Hall T1 / Stand G13. Design z Polski na London Design Fair 2017 pojawi się również na wystawie TEXTURA. A Polish touch. Design z Polski, który pojawi się na London Design Fair 2017 będzie prezentował najlepsze polskie projekty! W Pop - Up sklepie w Tent London znajdą się meble, wyroby ze szkła i porcelany, dekoracje, lampy, tkaniny, plakaty i inne rzeczy najleszych współczesnych projektantów z Polski. W 'ĄĘ! ĄĘ! These Polish letters are unusual and unique – just like Polish design. Design from Poland will be popping up at this year’s London Design Fair: for the very first time, you’ll be able to take the best of Polish design home with you! The pop-up store will feature furniture, glassware and porcelain, décor, lamps, fabric, posters and more from some of the hottest contemporary Polish designers. At 'ĄĘ! Pop - Up by PolishDesigners.pl' you can choose from an array of amazing products and graphic designs. You don’t need to be able to pronounce it to know you need to have it!

Showcase participants:

Malwina Konopacka is an illustrator and designer. She studied at Warsaw's Academy of Fine Arts and studied illustration at Berlin's UdK. She creates her illustrations with traditional materials (ink, watercolor and paper) and then scans them and adds color. She also designs illustrated ceramic objects – like her OKO painted vases. She works with numerous publishing houses. She lives and works in Warsaw. Her OKO and La Cité collections are a limited edition of hand-painted ceramic vases which will be available for purchase at the ĄĘ! Pop-Up by PolishDesigners.pl at Tent London!

Grynasz Studio founded by Marta Niemywska-Grynasz and Dawid Grynasz, is an interdisciplinary design team that has won multiple awards in product design competitions.Apart from experimenting with new materials and technologies, the team is frequently inspired by Polish tradition and craftsmanship. The team has completed both exhibition and product designs for Polish and foreign companies and institutions including Marbet Style, NAP, MUJI & MEESH.

Zaczyn combines contemporary design with the work of experienced craftspeople and factories boasting long traditions. With its carefully selected materials, areas of expertise developed over many years and a strong design identity, ZACZYN is a brand which offers exceptional, high-quality and timeless products. ZACZYN is where the human factor and technology, experience and vision come together. ÅOOMI is an interdisciplinary design studio concentrating on the creation of objects for daily use. Marcelina Jarnuszkiewicz creates illustrations, animations and murals. She serves as artistic director of the audiovisual group OKO I UCHO. She holds degrees in Media Arts from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and in Ethnology from the University of Warsaw. She is a recipient of grants from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and from the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Her illustrations will be on sale online & at the ĄĘ! Longstory is a multitasking design studio that creates patterns for universal use. They design for companies and individual clients, as well as work on personal projects that offer opportunities for experimentation. They like expressive motifs, typography and screenprinting. Beza Projekt is a studio established by Zofia Strumiłło-Sukiennik and Anna Łoskiewicz-Zakrzewska. ‘We deal in design, interior design and the creation and design of furniture and gadgets. Our studio’s designs have appeared in many prestigious magazines both in Poland and abroad. Our studio is characterized by an innovative approach and a dedication to high quality. ’Their 'Reflection of a Gesture' mirror will be on sale online & at the ĄĘ! Zieta Prozessdesign, the design studio founded by Polish designer Oskar Zięta, boasts an interdisciplinary team including architects, designers, engineers and technologists. Furthermore, the studio regularly works with psychologists, biologists, scientists and experts in a number of fields to create innovative design solutions such as FiDU and 3+. 3+ is a collection made using Zieta's unique technology of stabilizing and forming sheet metal to create durable sandwich panels. This technology gives unprecedented flexibility in the manufacturing process and can be used both indoors and out – to create modular sets of furniture which can be freely rearranged and used as solutions for offices, houses and public venues, as well as a façade panel system. The ĄĘ! Pop-Up by PolishDesigners.pl at Tent London will be furnished and arranged using these unique products created by Zieta Prozessdesign.

Maria Jeglinska established the Maria Jeglinska, Office for Design & Research in 2010 in London. She works on a wide range of commissions: industrial design projects, exhibition design, as well as research-based projects in the field of design. She designs products for Ligne Roset, Cinna, DesignMarketo and Porcelana Kristoff and made a film for the St Etienne Design Biennale. Since 2012, she has been living in Warsaw.

Autor Rooms Warsaw offers a unique take on hotel accommodations, the concept’s initiator and host, Warsaw’s well-known graphic design studio Mamastudio, invited Starter Gallery and a long list of independent young creative individuals from the world of Polish design, fashion, crafts and culinary arts to take part in the project, to create a designer hotel that people would feel comfortable in. AUTOR Rooms offers four-star accommodations and ‘a key to the city’. Their HOTEL ESSENTIALS, a collection of eight objects designed especially for Autor Rooms by Maria Jeglińska will be available online & at the pop-up!

Pani Jurek is a brand created by artist and designer Magda Jurek. Her work is characterized by a non-standard approach to the products she creates. Pani Jurek primarily designs lamps. Her designs go beyond their standard functions and allow for interaction with their users. Pani Jurek is also active in the ‘Based in Warsaw’ Association for which she does charitable work. The Psikusy cut-out cards book and blocks are Pani Jurek’s newest creation. Her Psikusy will be available at out pop-up & online!

Olka Osadzińska is a young artist, art director and curator from Poland. She has worked on various national and international art projects. Her artistic experience spans across art, fashion and lifestyle as well as online through a collaboration with the influential magazines and websites for which she draws illustrations. She cooperated with brands such as Reebok, Hugo Boss, Nike, Jägermeister, Max Factor, SABMiller brands and others. As well as with magazines such as ELLE, Glamour, commons&sense, D - la Repubblica and with Condé Nast titles. Her works were displayed at solo as well as at group exhibitions and in the latest Gestalten book of fashion illustration: ‘The Beautiful. Illustrations for Fashion and Style’. Her illustrations will be available online & at the pop-up!

Falbanka is a design brand created by Izabela Sroka and Julia Cybis. In their designs, they try to combine a broad take on tradition with modern design. Falbanka’s debut collection 'Grids' was a finalist in the MakeMe! competition at the Łódź Design Festival in 2014. Since then, Grids have travelled the world and its designers have been mentioned in magazines such as i-D, 2+3D and Icon Magazine. Their GRIDS collection of fabrics will be available online & at the pop-up!

Plantation / Alicja Patanowska combines porcelain with glass and art with design. She considers craft skills to be crucial for her artistic practice as she designs and learns through the creative process. She successfully combines new technologies with the handmade, which, together with the careful observation of everyday life, is the ultimate inspiration for her projects. She graduated from the Royal College of Art in London and the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. Her PLANTATION series of porcelain elements designed for growing herbs and ornamental plants will be available online & at the pop-up!

ZUPAGRAFIKA is an independent publisher and creative design studio based in Poland, founded in 2012 by the Hispano-Polish duo David Navarro and Martyna Sobecka. The studio has a special affinity with the Polish Poster School, post-war modernist architecture and paper. Zupagrafika has created, illustrated, designed and published award-winning architectural titles, such as: Blokografia (2012), Eastern Blocks (2014), Brutal London (2015), Blokoshka (2016), Paris Brut (2016) or Brutal East (2017) which are a collection of their favourite modernist and brutalist buildings from the former Eastern Bloc and beyond. Author of the book Brutal London: Construct Your Own Concrete Capital (2016, Prestel Publishing, London), an adaptation of their worldwide acclaimed Brutal London paper-cut collection. Their BRUTAL LONDON collection of illustrated paper cut-out models will be available online & at the pop-up!
